Fast version cannabis seeds: the complete guide
Fast Version cannabis seeds are photoperiod strains bred to finish flowering sooner than the standard version of the same strain, while still growing into full-size plants. Every Fast Version strain we sell is bred by Super Autoflowers, backed by our 80% germination guarantee, and shipped across Canada, the United States and internationally.
What are fast version seeds?
A fast version is usually made by crossing a photoperiod strain with an autoflowering one, then selecting plants that keep the photoperiod trait but flower faster. The plant still depends on the light schedule to start flowering, so it grows like a normal photoperiod plant, but it reaches harvest sooner than the original strain.
Fast version vs. autoflower vs. photoperiod seeds
Standard photoperiod seeds begin flowering when the light schedule changes, usually to 12 hours of light and 12 of darkness, and give the grower the most control over plant size. Autoflower seeds flower automatically by age and usually flower in about 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the strain and the grower, but stay compact. Fast version seeds sit between the two: they are photoperiod plants with a shorter flowering period, so you keep control over plant size and still harvest earlier.
Fast version seeds for Canadian growing seasons
Outdoors, a shorter flowering period means plants can be ready before autumn frost and wet weather arrive, which matters in regions with short summers. Indoors, it shortens each grow cycle. Each product page lists the expected flowering time for that strain.
Frequently asked questions
Are fast version seeds autoflowers?
No. Fast version seeds are photoperiod seeds. Indoors they need a change in light schedule to start flowering, and outdoors they flower as the days get shorter. They finish flowering sooner than the standard version of the same strain.
How much faster are fast version seeds?
It depends on the strain. Each product page lists the expected flowering time, so you can compare a fast version with the standard strain before you buy.
Can fast version seeds be grown outdoors in Canada?
Yes. Their earlier finish helps plants reach harvest before the first autumn frost in regions with a short season. Cannabis laws vary by province, and it is the grower’s responsibility to follow local rules.
Do fast version seeds come with a germination guarantee?
Yes. Super Autoflowers guarantees an 80% germination rate on fast version seeds when germination starts within 3 months of delivery. Our Return Policy explains what is covered and how to make a claim.
How much is shipping for fast version seeds?
Standard shipping is $10 and express shipping is $25, and orders over $200 ship free. Full details are on our Shipping page.
